USCCC Annual Gala

January 31, 2024

On January 20, 2024, the US-China Chamber of Commerce - Dallas (USCCC) hosted its Annual Gala, celebrating the Lunar New Year and the 30th anniversary of USCCC under the theme "Advancing AAPI in the Business Community."

The prestigious event, held at the Hyatt Regency Frisco, brought together over 800 members of the Chinese American business community, community leaders, and political dignitaries. Keynote speaker Andrew Yang, a successful businessman and co-founder of the Forward Party, added significance with his insights from the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries and the 2021 New York City Democratic mayoral primary.

Among the esteemed speakers was Young Po, Managing Partner at Paxel Financial Consulting, embodying Paxel's commitment to AAPI business advancement. Young Po, expressing gratitude for being selected, eagerly embraced the opportunity to share insights and experiences.

Paxel was honored to have its commitment to advancing the AAPI community in the business realm highlighted at the gala. As the largest Asian American-owned wealth management and accounting firm in the DFW area, Paxel aspires to provide comprehensive financial solutions globally, transcending borders. The firm's active involvement in local AAPI chambers solidifies its dedication to the community.

Beyond financial services, Paxel strives to make a positive impact, with Young Po actively participating in counseling at youth camps and contributing to charity fundraising for underprivileged school-age children in Asia. These actions vividly illustrate Paxel's commitment extending beyond the confines of the boardroom.

During the panel presentation, Young Po explored key topics, providing insights into Paxel's transformation from a Chinese immigrant-focused business to one catering to both Chinese and Caucasian communities. The panel delved into nuances like acquiring firms owned by Americans versus Asian Americans, shedding light on the complexities of due diligence in different contexts. Additionally, the discussion emphasized the experiences of first-generation Chinese Texans, underlining the importance of communication in dual-lingual households.
